The experience in the use of biomass in CHP is rather new and not very developed in both the practical application as well as the supporting legislation and other political measures.

The international conference "The highly efficient Use of Biomass in CHP Plants - Experience, Potential and Recommendations" is meant to inform, to sensitize and to connect the relevant players as well as to give indications to the European Commission for the future way of handling and promoting this topic. Objectives of the event are:

• Sensitization for the European energy policy and the corresponding statutory provisions.

• Information about the topic “Biomass in CHP”

• Identification of market restraints in connection with “Biomass in CHP”

• Development of recommendations for the EU in order to remove market restraints.

• The strengthening of cross border exchange of information.

• The formation of an European network

These goals should be reached by the means of the following methods:

• International experts as speakers

• International group of participants which consists of international multipliers of all, for   this topic, relevant groups of players.
